Extremely disappointed with how this dental office handled my family’s visit. I was a previous patient and received a text a few days before my appointment requesting my new insurance information. I provided the updated insurance details immediately, so I assumed everything was verified and fine before the appointment. At checkout, I was unexpectedly charged a $70 balance for both myself and my daughter. No one informed me beforehand that my new insurance was out-of-network or that the type of X-rays they were performing would not be covered as preventive care. The office completed periapical X-rays instead of standard bitewing X-rays, which changed how my insurance processed the claim. After speaking with my insurance company, I was told the visit likely would have been covered at 100% out-of-network if standard preventive X-rays had been completed. What made this experience even worse was what happened with my daughter’s treatment plan. This office told me she supposedly had cavities on or between almost every tooth and needed fillings on every tooth. That immediately felt excessive, so I sought a second opinion from another dentist using the exact same non-covered X-rays. The

Parkside Dental in Cary, NC is absolutely phenomenal! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is calm, clean, and welcoming—definitely not your typical “drill and kill” dental office. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and truly cares about your experience. Everyone is friendly, professional, and attentive, and they take the time to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand. Every time I have an appointment at Parkside, it is a positive experience. Everyone is so friendly: administrative team, hygienist, dental assistants, and Dr. Nettey-Marbell. The care is gentle and they are very attentive to your needs. You can tell that the team enjoys their job because I am always greeted with a warm smile and it feels so genuine. I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone looking for a great dentist and awesome team!
